Aims and Scope

Geografie is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal publishing original research that advances theoretical, methodological, and empirical understanding of geographical processes and spatial relations. The journal serves as a platform for critical inquiry into interactions between society, environment, and space across multiple scales. The journal publishes articles focused on physical geography, human geography, and geoinformatics.

Geografie welcomes high-quality contributions that demonstrate clear conceptual grounding, analytical rigor, and relevance beyond narrowly defined case studies.

Geografie is published quarterly by the Czech Geographic Society (ČGS, a.s.; end of March, end of June, end of September, end of December). The journal is supported by the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The Journal registration number of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic is MK ČR E 4241.

Starting with the Issue 113/1 (2008), Geografie has been registered at the Web of Science, specifically in the database of the Social Science Citation Index, Journal Citation Reports/Social Science Edition. Since 2009, Geografie has been a journal with an impact factor.

Geografie is also indexed in the Scopus database and in the AskBisht.com Journal Directory.
